Performing Arts Camps

We are thrilled to welcome back Charm City Players to RPCS, who run the multi-week options for our performing arts camps that end in a real performance on stage! If your star isn't quite ready to take to the stage, we also have amazing dancing and singing camps for all ages who are ready to dance to Frozen or Encanto and sing to T Swift!

Dance Camps

Disney Fairy Tales Dance Camp

Instructor: Charm City Music School
Ages: 5-11
Dates: Week 7 (July 29 - Aug 2)
Times: morning and afternoon sessions available
Cost: $295

In this magical fairy tale inspired camp, your child will be able to listen to their favorite Disney songs, play Disney themed games, and learn the basics of different styles of dancing! Children will learn dance styles like Ballet, Jazz, Creative Movement and Modern. On the last day of camp, the dancers will showcase choreography learned throughout the week. No prior dance experience is required!

Encanto Dance Camp

Instructor: Charm City Music School
Ages: 5-11
Dates: Week 2 (June 24-28)
Times: morning and afternoon sessions available
Cost: $295

Encanto Dance Camp will include dancing to themed music, lots of themed games and activities, and a choreography showcase at the end of the week! Dancers will learn a basic understanding of Ballet, Jazz and Modern dancing while listening to music from the hit movie, Encanto! No prior dance experience is required!

Frozen Dance Camp

Dates: Week 8 (Aug 5-9)
Times: morning and afternoon sessions available

Let It Go! In this Dance Camp, children will learn various styles of dance such as Creative Movement, Modern, Ballet and Jazz, all while listening to their favorite songs! On the last day of camp, dancers will showcase the choreography learned throughout the week. No prior dance experience is required!

Hip Hop Dance Camp

Instructor: Charm City Music School
Ages: 7-11
Dates: Week 1 (June 17 - 21) no camp on June 19th
Times: half day (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Cost: $240

In this camp students will learn the fundamentals of Hip Hop dance through skill building, choreography, and dance games. Students will learn different styles of Hip Hop such as Breaking, Stepping, Waving, and Popping and Locking. As they learn the basics of each style, they will get to practice through learning choreography set to music they know and love. Students will even get the opportunity to create choreography of their own. This camp is open to all levels and no prior dance experience is necessary.

Times: full day (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
Cost: $750/2 week session

Broadway Music Camp

Broadway Music Camp will feature songs from hit classic and contemporary musicals like The Sound of Music, Wicked, High School Musical, and many more! Along with singing, movement, and stage presence, campers will explore the basics of rhythm instruments like ukulele and drums; participate in themed games and activities; and perform in a musical showcase at the end of the week. No prior music experience is required!

Let it go and unleash your unique powers at The Music Of Frozen Camp! Campers will sing along to songs from the hit movies Frozen and Frozen II, explore a range of musical instruments, and participate in fun, themed games and activities. No prior music experience is required!

Pop Star Music Camp

Dates: Week 4 (July 8-12)
Times: morning and afternoon sessions available

For fans of artists like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Camila Cabello, Pop Star Music Camp will help you find your own voice! Campers will explore singing, movement, and the basics of rhythm instruments like ukulele and drums; participate in themed games and activities; and even learn to write their own song. Plus, rising stars will perform in a musical showcase at the end of the week. No prior music experience is required!

Under the Sea Camp (Music from The Little Mermaid)

Verses and Vibes: Songwriting

In this camp, students will embark on an exciting poetry adventure with our innovative workshop designed to unleash their creativity! From exploring the work of famous poets to creating their own spoken word masterpieces, students will not only learn the craft but also boost confidence through a final performance that blends storytelling, rhythm, and self-expression. Join us for fun, creativity, and discovering the poet within! In this camp, students will also explore music of various kinds. They will learn concepts such as lyrics, songwriting, rhythm, and improvisation.
