    Lower Elementary Homeroom Teacher

    The Roland Park Country School, a K-12, independent girls’ school, is seeking a full-time lower elementary homeroom teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Primary responsibilities include planning and implementing the core subjects of math, reading, writing and social studies. Our practices at RPCS include the Responsive Classroom approach and the Investigations math program, and experience with either or both is desirable.  The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. RPCS seeks candidates that have positive interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with colleagues. A desire to understand and support diverse attitudes, beliefs and behaviors while engaging students through a variety of teaching methodologies and innovative, relevant classroom experiences is expected.     Upper School Counselor

    Roland Park Country School, an independent K-12 girls’ school in Baltimore, MD seeks a full-time Upper School Counselor to begin in August 2019.  The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in counseling or a related field, holds licensure/certification in social work or counseling, and has 3-5 years of experience working with a diversity of adolescents and teenagers.  Primary responsibilities include responding to personal, social and emotional needs of students in grades 9 - 12, managing crisis situations, and establishing and implementing educational, social/emotional and preventive services for students, parents, and faculty. There is a teaching component, including 9th grade seminar classes, as well as the possibility of teaching a year-long AP Psychology course.  Candidates should have a strong knowledge of mental health issues and adolescent development, have a collaborative spirit, and be invested in continued professional development.  The US Counselor performs under the general direction of the Upper School Head and the Director of Counseling.

    Middle School Counselor (Part Time)

    MS Counselor (part-time position)
    Roland Park Country School, an independent K-12 girls’ school in Baltimore, MD seeks a part-time Middle School Counselor to begin in August 2019.  The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in counseling or a related field, holds licensure/certification in social work or counseling, and has 3-5 years of experience working with a diversity of Middle-School aged children.  Primary responsibilities include responding to personal, social and emotional needs of students in grades 6 - 8, managing crisis situations, and establishing and implementing educational, social/emotional and preventive services for students, parents, and faculty.  There is a teaching component, including 8th grade Life Skills classes and this person will serve as the facilitator for the Peer Education program in the Middle School.  The counselor serves as a trusted confidant and resource for students, has a strong knowledge of mental health issues and adolescent development, and is invested in continued professional development.  This is a 10-month position, 20 hours per week. The MS Counselor performs under the general direction of the Middle School Head and the Director of Counseling.  Interested candidates should apply by completing the employment application and submitting a resume and cover letter: Click Here to Apply.  Direct inquiries should be addressed to the Dean of Faculty, Sara Rollfinke:  rollfinkes@rpcs.org

    MS/US Librarian

    The Roland Park Country School, an all-girls independent school located in Baltimore, Maryland, announces a search for a MS/US Librarian to oversee the library program in our state-of-the-art library/learning commons. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the library, managing the school’s collection, and providing a library curriculum that exposes students to library skills and literature appreciation. The Librarian will also teach 6thand 7thgrade library skills classes. The ideal candidate will work with students and faculty to promote critical thinking and teach 21stcentury information skills, includingpromoting digital wellness and citizenship as well as having a creative approach to using iPads and laptops as it pertains to the library curriculum.     Middle School/Upper School Technology Integrationist

    Roland Park Country School is looking for a full-time technology integrationist for the Middle and Upper Schools. We seek an experienced educator focused on continuous improvement who has contagious enthusiasm for supporting the use of technology in creative, collaborative, and inquiry-based learning. The technology integrationist is responsible for leading, mentoring, and supporting the faculty and students specifically in grades 7 through 10 in their use of technology for teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will build collaborative relationships with the faculty, work to understand their curricular goals, and support their efforts at increasingly powerful uses of technology in varying contexts for student-centered learning.     Upper School AP Biology Teacher

    Roland Park Country School is seeking an experienced AP Biology teacher for the Upper School, starting Fall of 2019.  The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of best practices and the Next Generation Science Standards, as well as experience with team-teaching. Duties may include multiple sections of 9th Grade Biology and/or courses in the school’s STEM Institute. RPCS is a laptop school, and candidates are expected to be able to integrate technology into the curriculum.  Science department faculty are expected to plan innovative instruction to engage a diverse student population, and candidates should enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and support the developmental needs of adolescent girls.     Library Assistant (Long-term Part-time)

    Part-Time Receptionist 

    Roland Park Country School is seeking a part-time receptionist weekday afternoons from 4pm until 8pm. Candidates should be warm, welcoming and helpful, as primary responsibilities include greeting and assisting visitors and representing RPCS to the public.  Additional duties include but are not limited to answering phones, monitoring radio communications with the staff, and alerting personnel of any security issues.     Long-Term Substitute Upper School STEM

    Roland Park Country School is seeking an experienced teacher for a long-term maternity leave from March 1 to May 31.  Teachers at RPCS plan innovative lessons, classroom activities and assignments designed to engage a diverse student population. RPCS is a laptop school; candidates are expected to be able to integrate technology into the curriculum. Candidates should enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the developmental needs of adolescent girls.  1-2 years of classroom experience is required.     Roland Park Country School is seeking a loving and nurturing Infant-Toddler Teacher for a full time position in our Little Reds Early Childhood Program.  Qualified candidates must have their 45 Hour Infant – Toddler Certification, 90 Hour Child Care Certification OR degree with approved coursework in early childhood education.  The ideal candidate will possess three or more years of experience with infants and toddlers and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with various teachers as well as administrators.     Roland Park Country School is seeking a long-term sub for our Little Reds Early Childhood Program. The qualified applicant will work with our infants and toddlers, have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or have a 90 hour early childhood certificate.     Roland Park Country School is located in Baltimore MD, and competes in the IAAM conference. The winter season runs from early November through mid-February. The spring season runs from mid-February through early May. Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills. These are paid, part-time positions and a background check is required. Candidates should have previous experience either playing or coaching.
