    Campus Safety Officer - Part Time / On-Call
    Roland Park Country School, an all-girls private K-12 school located in Baltimore, MD, is looking for customer-oriented professionals to assist our Campus Security team and provide unparalleled service, protection, and safety to our students, staff and visitors to this prestigious campus.  You will patrol the campus grounds, observing and reporting any unusual activity, securing doors and gates, assisting the front desk to greet and assist guests coming into the school.  You will also assist with the security team during special events and other functions necessary to accomplish our mission. Individuals must be personable, able to stand and walk for an extended period of time, work indoors and outdoors during the shift, utilize a portable radio for communication, and have the ability to remain calm in emergency, emotional and stressful situations. While experience in safety, security and first aid are preferred, it is not mandatory.  However, a great attitude, good work ethic and the ability to follow directions are essential.     Chinese, Lower School (50%)

    RPCS is seeking an energetic and creative Chinese teacher for K-5 classes. The ideal candidate must know Mandarin Chinese thoroughly and also be able to implement teaching strategies effective for young learners using the target language. Chinese instruction in the Lower School emphasizes spoken language, along with the ability to recognize Chinese characters and pinyin phonetic spelling; Lower School students begin to develop the ability to write Chinese characters as they progress.  Delivery of instruction demands creativity and considerable preparation of activities, manipulatives and visuals, but a model curriculum for the Lower School Chinese program has been established. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with young learners.  Candidates must enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues within the school and beyond with other professionals in the discipline. Candidates should also have confidence communicating with adults as well as children and be able to use written or spoken English fluently outside of instruction.     MS Math Teacher
    Roland Park Country School is looking for a mathematics teacher for the Middle School, 60-80%. The ideal candidate will have a love for mathematics, and an eagerness to share his or her passion with an enthusiastic student body. Our Middle School math curriculum builds on the conceptual foundations developed in the Investigations program in the Lower School.  In grades 6 and 7, we continue with a constructivist approach using the CMP Curriculum.  In 8th grade, students begin their exploration of the Philips Exeter problem sets and Harkness-style discussions.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of core mathematical concepts, Algebraic reasoning, and Geometry along with the communication skills to be able to direct an inquiry-based lesson of these concepts.  Furthermore, the candidate will be excited to work with early adolescent girls and collaborate with similarly passionate educators to craft the ideal math learning environment for the students.  Email cover letter and resume to the Dean of Faculty, Sara Rollfinke rollfinkes@rpcs.org

    Technology Support Specialist

    The Technology Support Specialist reports to the Director of Information and Innovation and is an essential member of the Technology Support Team. This individual is the initial point of contact and front-line support person for students and employees.  Minimum qualifications for the position include a high school education and experience working in an office environment. This individual must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relay technical information to, the layperson, are essential. Essential duties and responsibilities include answering all forms of inquiries including in-person requests for assistance from students, faculty and staff experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.     Assistant Director for Middle and Upper School Admissions

    US Theater – 80-100%
    Roland Park Country School is seeking a Director of Upper School Theatre (80-100%) to spread the love of theatre and the Performing Arts within our community and among our student body. The candidate will be responsible for teaching semester elective classes in acting and stage-directing.  The Director also oversees the Footlights Theatre Ensemble, a select ensemble comprised of juniors and seniors, who annually produce a collection of one-act plays as well as a studio play. While working closely with the Sinex Theater Technical Director and Performing Arts Department Head, the Director of Upper School Theatre will work collaboratively on the two Upper School mainstage productions: the fall musical, and spring play. The ideal candidate will have an ability to collaborate with the Performing Arts faculty, and experience with successful high school productions. A Master of Arts or MFA in Acting and Directing are preferred. Roland Park Country School is a college preparatory school for girls.     Upper School Learning Specialist
    Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD, an independent K-12 girls’ school with a co-ed preschool, seeks a full-time Upper School Learning Specialist beginning July 2018.  The learning specialist will provide support for students in grades 9-12.  A master’s degree in special education, speech language pathology or other directly related field of study is desired, as well as experience working with students with language-based learning disabilities, executive function disabilities, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  Experience in psycho-educational testing interpretation is required to develop Formal Education Plans for students.  The learning specialist will encourage student performance through one-on-one and small group instruction in strategy-based learning, study skills, and organizational techniques.  The Upper School learning specialist will also support faculty and administration through training in multi-sensory teaching techniques and methods of supporting students with learning disabilities in the college-preparatory general education classroom.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of best practices and instructional techniques most beneficial to adolescent girls, an appreciation for the value of single-sex education, and a willingness to participate and be an innovator in the school community.  Interested applicants should send a resume, cover letter, and a list of references with contact information to Carolyn Parker parkerc@rpcs.org

    Middle School Spanish Teacher (60% - 100%)

    Roland Park Country School is seeking aMiddle School Spanish teacher for levels 1 and 2. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish with developed language pedagogy and a thorough understanding of the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures. Utilizing the target language, the candidate must be able to engage students in the learning process with activities and instruction in all four communication modes that are geared towards the young adolescent learner. In addition, the candidate should be adept at cooperative learning techniques, teaching to multiple learning styles and integrating technology and authentic sources into the curriculum. Candidates must be able to balance the flexibility and structure Middle School students need and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues.     Full-time Upper School English position open for 2018-2019. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to foster and nurture a learning environment that is engaging and accessible to a broad and diverse range of students as well as the ability to connect curriculum content to student experiences and cultural frames of reference. In addition to having at least two years of experience, we seek a candidate that has experience implementing multicultural lessons, literature, resources, and content. This creative classroom teacher should enjoy building curriculum and working collaboratively with colleagues. RPCS is a laptop school; candidates are expected to be able to integrate technology into the curriculum.     JV Badminton Coach: Roland Park Country School, located in Baltimore, MD, is accepting applications for Head JV Badminton Coach for the 2018 spring season.  Candidates should have previous coaching/playing experience.     Assistant Rowing Coach
    : Roland Park County School, an independent school for girls in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an assistant rowing coach for the 2018 spring season.  The spring season begins on February 20th and run through mid-May.  The ideal candidate will have a competitive rowing or coxing background, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills.     : Roland Park Country School located in Baltimore MD, is accepting applications for the position of  Junior Varsity Head Basketball Coach for the 2017-2018 winter season.  The Basketball season runs from early November through mid-February. Practices are held Monday through Friday from 4:00-6:00. We play a 16 game schedule.  Candidates should have previous basketball experience either playing or coaching.
