RPCS Welcomes New Varsity Volleyball Head Coach

Roland Park Country School Co-Directors of Athletics Dani Steinbach and Scott Buckley are pleased to announce that Angela LaRocco has been appointed Varsity Volleyball Head Coach.

With over a decade of coaching experience across high school, middle school, and club levels, Angela brings a wealth of program-building expertise and a commitment to athlete development to RPCS. Angela spent several years as Varsity Assistant Coach at Maryvale Preparatory School, where she helped contribute to three consecutive IAAM A Conference Championships from 2022–2024. During this time, she also co-led summer camps and year round clinics, training athletes in both fundamentals and advanced skills to prepare them for club and high school seasons. In her most recent role at Concordia Prep, Angela stepped in to coach the Varsity, JV and Middle School teams simultaneously. Angela also has coaching experience with several club programs including Premier Volleyball Club and Intensity Volleyball Club in Harford County.

“Angela’s vision for the future of RPCS Volleyball and her athlete-centered approach to program growth will make an immediate impact for our Reds,” said Dani Steinbach. “Her versatile blend of championship-level experience and mentorship of younger players complements a coaching philosophy which prioritizes the development of every student-athlete. Angela is deeply aligned with our core values, fostering an environment where effort, respect, teamwork and joy are at the forefront of the player experience.”

Reflecting on her new role and her vision for the program, Angela expressed her enthusiasm for joining the RPCS community.

“I am thrilled to join the RPCS community,” shared Angela. “My goal is to build a program that competes with intention and purpose, while developing athletes who are confident, resilient, and proud to be Reds on the court and beyond. To be joining a community where competitive excellence and genuine athlete development go hand in hand feels like exactly the right fit.”
