RPCS Welcomes New Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach

RPCS Welcomes New Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach
Roland Park Country School Co-Directors of Athletics Dani Steinbach and Scott Buckley are pleased to announce that Caroline BlaumDavis has been appointed Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach.

A member of the RPCS coaching staff for the past two seasons, Caroline brings a long and tenured playing and coaching career to our program. At the University of Iowa, Caroline was a four-time captain, three-time All-Big Ten selection, and first-team National All-American, helping lead her team to a Final Four appearance in her senior year. From 2007 to 2010, Caroline was a member of the USA Women’s National Field Hockey Team, where she gained international playing experience in Argentina, China, the Netherlands and Australia. From 2010-2020, Caroline was a member of the Oldfields School community where she served as Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach for 10 years.

“We are thrilled to have Caroline lead the next chapter of our field hockey program at RPCS,” said Dani Steinbach. “Caroline brings an elite level of expertise and leadership to our players, and she has already demonstrated a deep commitment to our program's values. Her love for the game shines on Fisher Field, and her demonstrated ability to teach through her sport will help our student-athletes grow and thrive in the field hockey program and beyond.”

Stepping into this role with a profound sense of gratitude and legacy, Caroline reflected on the personal significance of this transition and her excitement for the journey ahead.

“As the older sister, it is rare that I have the privilege to follow in my sister’s footsteps. I am so grateful to Elizabeth and the RPCS community for welcoming me as an assistant coach two years ago. To now have the opportunity to lead this program as the head coach is an honor that I take great pride in. To guide, inspire and learn alongside this group of young women has me full of excitement for every day that I get to walk across Fisher Field. Together, we will be ready to pick up where Coach Blaum left off as we build on the successes of last year’s season and the potential of the 2026 RPCS field hockey team.”

The Athletics Department would like to take the opportunity to thank Elizabeth Blaum for her commitment to RPCS Field Hockey and our Reds as Head Coach for the past five years. We wish her the best of luck as Director of College Counseling at St. Timothy’s School next year!
