Nurturing Belonging and Community Through Technology

In STEM 7, students deepen their skills as innovators and collaborators while exploring the seventh-grade theme of Belonging and Community. Using Google Suite tools, they manage projects, share resources, and work together to communicate their ideas effectively. Students advance their coding and robotics abilities by designing and programming robots to solve challenges that highlight the importance of teamwork, persistence, and problem-solving. Through the design thinking process, they develop creative solutions to strengthen connections within their communities by empathizing, ideating, prototyping, and refining their work. Students also expand their digital media skills by creating videos, graphics, and interactive content that tell stories and amplify voices within their community. The year’s projects reflect the theme of Community and Belonging as students use technology and creativity to explore how we connect, collaborate, and thrive together.
