STEM 6
Exploring Technology Through Wayfinding
In STEM 6, students continue to expand their skills as problem-solvers and creators while exploring the sixth-grade theme of Wayfinding. Using Google Suite tools, they strengthen their ability to organize projects, collaborate in teams, and communicate their ideas with clarity and impact. Students advance their understanding of coding and robotics by programming robots to navigate challenges that require persistence, creativity, and precision. Through the design thinking process, they develop innovative solutions to problems connected to navigation—whether physical, digital, or social—by empathizing, brainstorming, prototyping, and testing. Students also explore digital media, creating videos, graphics, and interactive projects that express their ideas in new ways. The year’s work reflects the theme of Wayfinding as students learn to chart their own path through technology, creativity, and collaboration, building confidence as independent learners and innovators.
