4th Grade Social Studies
The fourth-grade social studies curriculum from Studies Weekly provides an engaging, integrated exploration of U.S. history, geography, civics, and economics. Students build critical thinking skills, learn map and research skills, and explore the diverse people, places, and events that have shaped the nation. The girls gain a deeper understanding of how government systems were established through topics focused on the founding principles of citizenship in the United States, including unalienable rights, political rights, economic rights, and civil rights. They also study state geography and facts, the regions of the United States, and the impact of westward expansion. That unit culminates in an interdisciplinary showcase of learning in our 50 States Project.
