The STEMScopes curriculum, which is built upon the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), places a heavy emphasis on the development of skills alongside scientific content. Throughout the four-year program, students are expected to apply their knowledge through various projects, reinforcing the connection between theory and practice. Our curriculum applies these skills across a diverse range of topics at each level. For seventh grade, the areas of focus include:

• Growth & Development of Organisms - Students study what genetic and environmental factors affect how organisms grow, develop and reproduce as well as the energy movement through organisms.
• The History of Planet Earth - Student learn rock strata and fossils provide us information about the history of Earth
• Force & Motion - Students explore forces and how they help explain the motion of objects.
