Science 2

In second grade, the science curriculum is focused on the outside world, and then transitions to learning about matter. 

In the gardens, our girls learn about what plant needs are, how to identify them, and how to provide what the plants need. We also learn about seed germination. Studies then develop into plant dependance by different animals in the eco-systems and how land changes can happen quickly or slowly, and why and how both of those instances occur, including the effects of wind and water on the land and animals. 

Adding physics into the curriculum with a focus on introducing the concepts of matter, and how they are the building blocks to everything around us! We discuss the properties and the different states of matter.
