Painting

Students will gain a greater understanding of the use of color and application techniques. Emphasis is placed on the use of light from many sources: natural, fluorescent, and dramatic. A variety of painting processes will be explored using watercolors, acrylics, and oils. Paintings will address strong compositional formats in works that explore both observational and abstract approaches to subject matter.
