Music 5

Fifth Grade Music is a semester-long arts requirement. In 5th grade, students begin their four-year music journey with a focus on Play & Sing skills, specifically with the ukulele. Students read and ear-train for major and minor scales, practice reading and performing rhythms in both even and uneven patterns, and discover the difference between duple and triple meter through singing, movement, and games. This year is all about building curiosity, confidence, and joy in music-making while laying a strong foundation for future growth.
