Middle School Study Hall Plus
Study Hall Plus is a small group community of learners who have the opportunity to receive learning support from a Middle School Learning Specialist during a structured study hall period that meets four times per cycle. Students are placed into Study Hall Plus on a case-by-case basis when comprehensive psychoeducational testing yields a diagnosis that indicates the need for significant additional support. Study Hall Plus focuses on the development of metacognitive and Social-Emotional and Learning (SEL) skills that empower learners to understand themselves and their needs. In addition, Study Hall Plus offers instruction in the development of self-advocacy and study skills, opportunities for previewing and reviewing course content, and individualized support as needed making sense of curricular material.
