K-4th Grades Art

The Lower School art program cultivates creativity, confidence, and an appreciation for artistic expression through hands-on exploration of media, techniques, and art history. Students build foundational skills in color theory, shape, composition, and both 2D and 3D design, while learning to balance structure with imagination.

Inspired by renowned artists such as Warhol, Chagall, Kahlo, Matisse, and Monet—as well as artistic traditions from cultures around the world—students explore connections between art, history, and personal expression. Through projects in painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and mixed media, young artists learn to experiment, take creative risks, and communicate their ideas visually.
