Wellness and Leadership Workshop 8
Broken up by semester, this year-long course is separated into a Leadership workshop and a Wellness workshop.
How can you drive meaningful social change? What role does followership play in effective leadership? And how can you address conflict, promote healing, and foster forgiveness within a community? In this leadership workshop, students will dive into the theories and practices that shape social movements, understand the dynamics of followership and systems of leadership, and develop the skills to navigate conflict with compassion and resilience. Through case studies, collaborative projects, and reflective discussions, students will learn how to lead communities toward positive transformation and unity.
In the Wellness workshop, all lessons are centered around the theme of Advocating. Students engage in meaningful learning experiences that foster a deeper understanding of themselves and others, while developing essential life skills. Topics include mental health awareness, peer pressure, setting healthy boundaries, substance use prevention, and sexual health education. Through a variety of instructional methods, including videos, articles, discussions, and presentations, students explore important concepts related to personal growth, informed decision-making, healthy relationships, and overall emotional well-being.
