Chinese III
In Chinese III, students advance their studies in Chinese language and culture. Throughout the year, they participate in daily oral presentations to reinforce speaking skills, study the formation of Chinese characters, learn grammar through engaging group activities, and explore cultural topics. The curriculum builds upon familiar themes while also introducing slightly more challenging ones, such as campus life, visiting a doctor, social life, and sports. Students demonstrate their proficiency through dialogue performances, culture presentations that compare Chinese culture and students’
home culture, video projects, writing assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams. The course normally culminates in a half-day field trip, allowing students to apply what they have learned in real-life situations.
