Cary is a member of the Class of 1995 and is currently the Executive Director of the Baltimore Research and Education Foundation (BREF), a position she has held since 2018. BREF is focused on improving the health and well-being of Veterans through facilitation and management of transformative biomedical research and education within the Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System, as well as at VA Medical Centers in Virginia and West Virginia. Cary earned a B.S. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University. She then performed her post-doctoral training and served as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health. Prior to her current position at BREF, Cary was a scientist in the Clinical Sciences Division at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, a research institute affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine. There she ran a clinical research lab focused on identifying biomarkers for mental illness using genetics and functional brain imaging. Cary enjoys spending time with her family and keeping up with her ten- and- twelve-year- old boys, both of whom attended RPCS’s day care and preschool programs! Cary is the current RPCS Alumnae Board President.
Emmy graduated from Roland Park Country School in 2016 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2020. She began her career in behavioral psychology as a Registered Behavior Technician at Meaningful Milestones, providing clinical services in home, school, and community settings under a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). After more than a year in outpatient work, Emmy returned to Baltimore and joined the Neurobehavioral Inpatient Unit (NBU) at Kennedy Krieger Institute as a Behavior Data Specialist. Since late 2021, she has contributed to one of the nation’s leading programs for intensive treatment of individuals with severe and treatment-resistant behavioral disorders and developmental disabilities. She currently serves as a Clinical Specialist and Case Supervisor, overseeing therapy staf, assisting with patient case management, participating in research, and providing clinical services to patients and their families. Emmy is also completing her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School as she prepares to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
After graduating from RPCS in 2012, Katherine attended Furman University where she graduated in 2016 with a BA in Health Sciences and a minor in Poverty Studies. She worked for three years in HIV clinical trials research before deciding to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University in 2020, during the peak of the COVID pandemic. After starting her nursing career at the University of Pennsylvania in adult oncology, she landed her dream job in Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. After three years of inpatient bedside nursing, Katherine is now a member of her unit’s nursing leadership team and manages orientation for new hires. Katherine lives in Philadelphia with her husband, Jack, and their 8-month-old son, Nathan.
Born and raised in Perry Hall, MD, Lauren is a proud alumna of Roland Park Country School, where she was a four-year varsity basketball player and a member of the volleyball team before graduating in 2011. She went on to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University, earning her B.A. in Communication Studies in 2015 and her M.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communication in 2016, while also competing as a collegiate volleyball player. After completing her studies, Lauren began her career at Towson University as a Benefits and Communication Coordinator in the Office of Alumni Relations. In 2018, she joined Brown Capital Management, the second-oldest African American-owned investment management firm in the U.S., as Executive Assistant to the Founder/CEO and President. She was later promoted to Chief of Staff, where she continues to work closely with the firm’s leadership. Beyond her professional role, Lauren serves on the Board of Trustees for the Baltimore School for the Arts and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Gaucher (Go-SHAY) Community Alliance, a nonprofit focused on raising awareness and advocating for patients affected by Gaucher disease. She is excited to return to Roland Park Country School to share her career journey and insights with the next generation of leaders.
Lily is a member of the Class of 2009 and is an attorney in downtown Baltimore. After graduating from RPCS she went on to attend Dickinson College, where she majored in History and Political Science, and minored in Economics. During her time at Dickinson, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Bologna, Italy. After graduating college, she went to the University of Maryland School of Law and obtained her J.D. in 2017. After completing law school, she clerked in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County for the Honorable Mickey J. Norman. Currently, Lily concentrates on her practice in general insurance coverage litigation, construction defects, premise liability cases and commercial litigation. She was recognized by Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine as a 2025 Rising Star.
Kate is a proud member of the RPCS Class of 1998. She graduated from Colgate University Cum Laude in 2002. After a brief stint in the Insurance industry, Kate transitioned to Commercial Real Estate. She is a Principal at Lee & Associates, the nation's largest broker owned Commercial Real Estate firm. Kate is the current president of NAIOP Maryland and past president of SIOR Maryland/DC/Northern Virginia. Kate was a founding board member at The Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys, which came from a relationship she fostered through being on the RPCS Alumnae Board with Betsey Swingle Hobelmann, 1993. Kate is also a founding member and former Chairperson for the Lee & Associates national 501c3, CompassionateLEE. She is the recipient of numerous awards including Baltimore Business Journal 40 under 40, NAIOP Maryland and NAIOP National Rising Star Awards, NAIOP Gregg Masi Volunteer Award, The Daily Record Influential Marylander award and Bisnow Commercial Real Estate Leader of the Year Award. Kate resides in Baltimore City with her husband, Charlie, daughter Maisy, dog Louie and cat Pippa. Kate LOVES Roland Park Country School.
