International Students

Roland Park Country School has a long history of welcoming international students who have chosen to come to the United States, seeking a challenging curriculum and superior education. In a nurturing environment, we support each student as she develops as a scholar, artist, athlete, life-long learner and global citizen.

RPCS recognizes that by having international students in our community, we enhance the school’s commitment to life-long learning and global citizenship. We encourage our international students to become involved in the RPCS community and benefit from all that we have to offer. We also anticipate that they will embrace their role in our community as ambassadors of their own culture.

Central to our program is teaching our students to value the learning process by taking risks and thinking critically and creatively. Our curriculum is based on rigorous academics and enhanced by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, providing our students many opportunities for growth. International students engage in the same curriculum as our domestic students —there is no parallel ESL track here at RPCS — therefore proficiency in English is required.

International students who are not living with a natural parent or family member must register with one of our partner agencies, Cambridge Network or Ivy International Group, who will arrange a host family.
