Middle School Process

Grades 5 - 8 Admissions Process

Submit an online application. There is a $60 fee. Application fee waivers are available for siblings of currently enrolled students and daughters of alumnae. Please contact us to obtain your code.

The application deadline is December 15, 2024. Applications received after this date will be reviewed based on available space.

Visit RPCS

Schedule and Attend Student Visit Day: Required

Once an application to RPCS is received, you will have the ability to schedule your student's visit day through the application portal. All applicants to grades 5-8 are required to attend a visit day where they will attend classes with an RPCS student hostess, meet other students, teachers, the Middle School Division Head and additional members of our community. Applicants will also be interviewed by a member of the Middle School Admissions Committee on the Visit Day. Parents and guardians will participate in interviews with members of the Admissions Committee on the morning of their students' visit.

Schedule and Attend Information Session

Attending an information session is the best way for parents and guardians to see firsthand what makes Roland Park Country School unique. Participate in student-led tours and hear from the Head of School, senior administrators, and current students about our programs.

Teacher Roundtables via Zoom Optional Join us for a unique opportunity to meet with faculty members from the Middle School in a casual, conversational setting. The perfect setting to have a deeper dive into the RPCS curriculum, philosophy and teaching styles of our Middle School faculty.

Schedule Admissions Testing

Students applying for grades 5-8 are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). RPCS has ISEE testing on Saturday, November 23, 2024 and Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 pm. To register for the ISEE testing, click here.

If the RPCS testing dates are inconvenient for you, you may sign up for testing at another school, a Prometric center, or ISEE at Home. Please be sure to add RPCS’s ISEE school code 210180 for us to receive the scores.

RPCS will need to receive ISEE scores on or before January 15, 2025.

New Middle School candidates:

Complete the application and reflective questions for the Board of Trustees Scholarship, in addition to the RPCS admissions application.

Please keep in mind the following criteria for consideration for our Merit Scholarships:

Strong ISEE scores
High academic performance as demonstrated in the current school transcript
Exceptional common referral forms from math and English teachers

Due to overwhelming interest, if your daughter does not meet these baseline academic requirements, it is highly unlikely that she will be considered for a merit award.
