Schedule Admissions Testing

Kindergarten and First Grade

Families are invited to campus on two separate days during the admissions season to keep experiences age-appropriate and allow us to get to know each applicant well.

Individual Assessment Day
Your student  will participate in a one-on-one admissions assessment with Dr. Shana Ward, Lower School Testing Coordinator, and Casey Briggs, Assistant Director of Lower School Admissions. During this visit, parents/guardians will receive a personalized campus tour with a focus on the Lower School, observe a kindergarten or first grade class, and have a follow-up conversation and interview with Mrs. Briggs. You may register for this assessment after submitting your application.

Group Academic Readiness Day
Your student  will join a group of peers for activities guided by Lower School faculty and the assessment team. Registration for this group assessment will be available in the Application Portal after submitting your application.

Grades 2-4 Applications

All applicants are invited to attend group testing at RPCS on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. You may register through the Application Portal once your child’s application is submitted.

During testing, Lower School faculty and admissions staff will administer standardized ability and achievement tests, along with a writing task. With your permission, we can share results with other schools. If your child cannot attend on January 10, you may arrange testing elsewhere and request that scores be sent to records@rpcs.org.

Investing in your daughter’s education is one of the most important decisions a family can make. It’s not only a commitment to her academic success, but also to her personal growth, confidence, and future opportunities.

At Roland Park Country School, we recognize that this decision often comes with a significant financial commitment, and we are deeply committed to partnering with families to make an RPCS education attainable.
