2022 Computer Science Honors Society Announcement

It is with huge excitement that we announce our Computer Science Honors Society, in its first year, was awarded a grant from the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and Lockheed Martin! This grant will be used to implement a student-led project to bring about engagement and excitement for computer science, and the Honors Society has decided to concentrate on the middle school and create a fun advisory activity for them to get interested in computer science. We are so grateful to CSTA and Lockheed Martin for their support of women in STEM and furthering our computer science education.

“The STEM disciplines are important for all students. They teach logical thinking as well as practical skills. Yet, too often, girls buy into the societal pressure that these subjects are not
for them.” The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools
