Innovation Spaces
RPCS has two Innovation Spaces, each tailored to meet the needs of the age groups they serve. These collaborative classrooms are built to foster curiosity and growth. This type of exploratory space provides students with the opportunities they need to investigate new ideas, discover new interests and build upon their STEM education.
Innovation Space (Middle and Upper School)
The Innovation Space is structured with several separate areas that have different purposes. There is a 3-D printing area, a construction area complete with a variety of tools for building prototypes, a space for building, programming and testing robotic projects, and a digital media room complete with a green screen. There is also a collaborative classroom area or “open thinking space,” which is used by students of all ages for cross-disciplinary projects outside of their traditional classes, as well as a greenhouse.
Junior Innovation Space (Lower School)
The Junior Innovation Space is modeled after the Middle and Upper School Innovation Space, just on a smaller scale – meaning smaller furniture, tools and equipment designed for younger people. The same creativity, collaboration and curiosity happens in this room with the youngest innovators in the building!
