WHAT IS
PLANNED GIVING AT RPCS?
Planned giving permits a donor to make
a larger gift to Roland Park
Country School than she or he may have
thought was possible and, at the same
time, to focus on personal financial
needs and goals. Planned gifts
are made when the donor is ready -- often
when one is reviewing an estate plan,
anticipating retirement, or thinking about
the education of children or grandchildren.
Many planned gifts are deferred. However,
some provide current income; they help
the School today.
At Roland Park Country School, there
are numerous planned gift options that
are in addition to outright annual and
capital support through cash and appreciated
securities:
• Bequest of cash,
securities, or real property
• Charitable Lead or Remainder Trust
created in lifetime or by will
• Gift of Retirement Assets
• Gift of remainder interest in
Real Estate
• Gift of Life Insurance
RPCS is pleased to recognize those who
have included the School in their estate
or financial plans as members of The
Red & White Legacy.
Recently, RPCS received the largest
realized bequest in its history
-- $900,000 -- from the Estate of Elise
Gettier Watkins, 1932. The School has
also received a number of new deferred
commitments, including one that will fund
a substantial scholarship endowment.
