NEW LEADERSHIP THRESHOLD
Twenty-five years ago, Roland Park Country School established
an Annual Giving leadership recognition program beginning
at the $1,000 level. Through the years, RPCS has benefited
greatly from the generosity of its leadership donors who
provide essential financial support and endorse the mission
of the School in a visible way.
Today, the costs associated with a Roland Park Country
School education continue to increase dramatically; however,
the threshold for leadership giving has remained constant,
even as the purchasing power of that level of gift has decreased
significantly over the last quarter century. For this reason,
the Board of Trustees has decided to increase the base line
for leadership giving membership from $1,000 to $1,500,
beginning this year with the 2005-2006 Annual Giving Campaign.
Additionally, due to the outstanding generosity of our
School community, we have added a $25,000 giving society
to our recognition levels in order to acknowledge such exceptional
support.
Roland Park Country School remains committed to providing
the very best opportunities for its students. We are grateful
for the generosity of the RPCS family, over many generations,
and hope that members of the School’s leadership will
want to continue in that tradition.
NEW DONOR RECOGNITION LEVELS
The Dushane Society ~ $25,000 and up
The highest Annual Giving recognition level is named for
Nanna Duke Dushane, who was a dedicated and determined educator.
As Roland Park Country School’s first headmistress
from 1912 – 1922, Miss Dushane served as an exemplary
role model for her colleagues, her students and her extended
family, and positioned the School as a leader in the education
of girls and young women.
The Chapman Circle ~ $1,500 - $2,499
The new leadership giving threshold is named for Bertha
Chapman, the School’s founder and principal from 1901
– 1912. Miss Chapman set high standards for the School
and for the students within her care. She was a progressive
thinker who led the School with distinction during its formative
years.
