FITNESS CENTER COORDINATOR
RPCS seeks a full time Fitness Center Coordinator for 2008 – 2009. The Fitness Center Coordinator will be responsible for direct supervision and oversight of daily operations of the new, state of the art Fitness Center; developing programs for students and employees; working with middle and upper school teams and PE classes; and beginning to develop programs to offer the broader community. The Fitness Center Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a field such as kinesiology, exercise physiology or physical education and certification in Strength and Conditioning. Additional certification in Athletic Training preferred
Upper School Math -- Full time Upper School math position open for 2008-2009. Teachers must be able to teach Algebra II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus. The ideal candidate will be grounded in NCTM standards and well versed in technology (Geometer’s Sketchpad, Fathom, TI-83 calculator use, basic word processing, and integration of technology into the curriculum). The position also includes an advisory component. No teaching experience necessary.
Middle School Science – Middle School Science position open for 2008-2009. The position may be structured as an internship; candidates new to teaching are encouraged to apply. We seek an energetic middle school science teacher to teach an integrated 7th grade course with topics from chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and earth science. Applicants should be current with methodologies and objectives described by National Science Education Standards and committed to a hands-on, constructivist approach. Experience with outdoor education is a plus. Teachers at RPCS use innovative, developmentally appropriate classroom activities and assignments designed to engage a diverse student population. RPCS is a laptop school; candidates are expected to be able to integrate technology into the curriculum. Candidates should enjoy building curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues, and supporting the developmental needs of young adolescent girls. The position includes a substantial advisory and grade level team component involving community service and interdisciplinary work.
Summer Camp Counselors
Roland Park Country School is seeking mature, creative, and energetic summer camp counselors. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 9-3pm during the weeks of August 18-22 and August 25-29. Staff take part in crafts, snacks, indoor recreation, outside play, cooking, and more.

Laptop Support Specialist

Controller – Roland Park Country Schoolseeks an experienced professional to serve as Controller responsible for overall administration of internal accounting, and financial matters under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance.
Professional qualities include a thorough understanding of nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management information requirements; formal education in accounting required (CPA preferred or demonstrated equivalent in education and experience); understanding of GAAP and how it relates to schools; as well as demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Experience with annual formal auditing process is a plus. Personal qualities include the ability to create solid, trusting relationships within and outside of the institution and the ability to collaborate and interact positively with all school constituencies.
