Curriculum Guide for the Middle School

Introduction

The Middle School Curriculum is an intellectually challenging, developmentally based program designed to meet the needs of early adolescent girls. Although the Middle School is organized by department, faculty work together on grade level "teams" to monitor student progress, to coordinate the teaching of skills, and to build upon interdisciplinary connections throughout the program. The result is a cohesive "three year plan" that seeks to bridge the transition from concrete to abstract study, from
little girl to young woman.
